Sibs,

For the most part life has been really good but this week some serious challenges presented themselves as well. Would you pray with us?

Landlord: Our relationship with the landlord at Sunrise (our hospice, office, and home) has gone from bad to worse. This is extremely frustrating because we’ve done nothing contrary to the details and spirit of the rental agreement. Currently, the landlord wants us to vacate by March, which is 17 months earlier than we had agreed to in the contract. There are three prayer requests attached to this situation.

  1. We really don’t want to rent another house for only two months. Pray that we can somehow extend our time at least until we return to the States in May.
  2. Pray for wisdom with regard to whether or not we (the ministry, not us personally) should pursue purchasing property.
  3. Pray for us to find a great alternative location at the right price.

Government Agreement: The government agreement which gives us permission to carry out our ministry in Kompong Cham is now 4 months expired. As with the landlord issue, this is frustrating because we’ve done everything properly and on time. It’s obvious that bribes were and are expected and wanted. Please pray for wisdom in how to successfully navigate this relationship while maintaining Christian integrity.

Physical Misery: I’m happy as a clam relationally, spiritually, etc. but am miserable physically. For the last month and half I’ve had severe allergies that wake me up in the middle of the night and prevent me from going back to sleep for hours. In the last 58 hours I’ve only slept about 5 hours because of a severe cold. It’s getting to the point where I can’t think. Please pray for healing of whatever respiratory problems I’ve been having and please pray that I would have at least 2 consecutive days of high quality sleep.

Thanks for standing with us during both trials and blessings!

Grace and peace,

danny
